The Majestic Malacca’s history began in 1929 when a wealthy man named Leong Long Man built a grand mansion that later became The Majestic Malacca. Over the years, the mansion faced neglect until YTL Hotels stepped in, acquiring and beautifully restoring the historic building. In 2008, The Majestic Malacca reopened its doors, preserving its rich heritage for all to enjoy.

The hotel’s architecture is influenced by the Portuguese, Dutch, and Peranakan Chinese cultures, and the city of Malacca was even granted UNESCO World Heritage status in July 2008, highlighting its historical significance.
